not to sound rude, but why is everybody so proud of the fact that they are paying their own personal bills? Isn't that what you're supposed to do...? I'm confused.

It's because the stereotype for younger guys driving these cars is that their parents bought them the car. To your point you're supposed to handle your personal bills, but if things were supposed to happen the way they were meant to be, this would not be the real world.

I am a pharmacist (PharmD. USC '79) I am married with 2 children (daughter, school teacher/mom, Son, MD-Orthopedic Surgeon). I have had some great cars, starting with my first car a '57 Porsche 356, '72 Karmann Ghia, '76 Porsche 914, Toyota Supra Turbo, 03 BMW Z4, '04 Porsche Boxster S and a '04 Porsche C4S Cab and now my '11 MBZ C300.I have to tell you that of all these cars, I think thew C 300 is right up there. I love the handlingexpecially in an around town, and parking with the execellent turning radius. I have added a sprint booster, which I have added to my last two cars and really made a huge difference in my 04 Porsche C4S Tiptronic. I really use my transmission manual mode and keep it 4th most of the time around town. This seems to give me the power when I need it since it is not downshifting from 5th or 6th to provide the power I need to pass or get on the freeway ( then i shift to higher gears). I find the 'S' mode to provide more torque when accelerating from a stop but is really touchy since the lst gear is so low. For all of you younger drivers and college students driving a MBZ..... GOOD FOR YOU!

nice!! I work with airports and do material handling systems (automatic luggage screening, parcel/postage sortation, distrubution facilities). Detriot = automotive industry?

Side Note: Project manager here has a 2010 C63 with the Black Series development kit on it... first time hearing of it. Said it puts out 30+ more HP than the stock C63 without the dev kit. Very nice ride.

Yes, I do a bunch of work in powertrain controls. I actually work for the company that makes the software products MATLAB/Simulink to do Model Based Design. I have done a bit in Field-Oriented controls for DC/AC drives, some signal processing, a little bit of video/image processing as well....Are you with Delta Technologies by chance?
