Purchased a 2011 C 300 this year after purchasing a 2010 E 63 last year. Love both cars. One gets great mileage and the other car is really fast!

Some of my friends like the looks of the C 300 better than the E63. Both are fun cars to drive.

very cool, I will always be a nissan fan boy, had a 240sx a few years back with an sr20 swap, then had a turbo 350z, traded that for my c350. Now I DD my c350 and track a genesis 2.0turbo, but in a few years I think im gonna sell both and FINALLY get myself a GT-R

Don't be so sure an E is an "upgrade". I have one of each, and the E is larger, but the C is much more entertaining and fun to drive. If you prioritize a smooth comfortable sedate ride, then E is a good target. If you want driving to be fun, think about a C350 or C63 next time. I feel about 10 years older driving the E.

Only if you think bigger is better...otherwise, it's just different. I would rather fly on a G5 than an A320 any day! There is nothing my E does in an "upgrade" manner versus my C, except be larger and softer, which I don't happen to think are improvements...but, my wife does, so its her car to drive. The ultimate "upgrade" is not a pre-planned march up a manufacturer's model line-up, but rather a car which does more and more of exactly what I want it to do.

My "upgrade" statement meant a larger car. Family is growing and legroom on the C is becoming smaller every month! I wanted to purchase a C63 here in PR but prices where prohibitive even for a CPO one! Can an E63 be the best of both worlds? Fun to drive plus larger?

OK...understood, for you upgrade=bigger. Lots of companies can make a fast car, but E63 is somewhat limited versus an M5 for example, as E63 is only automatic transmission, while M5 offers a stick. For me, driving an automatic is just aiming, not really driving.

So the M5 is a better investment than an E63? don't got me wrong I love the C300 sport and my MB experience as been good (shy from being great) but I am preparing for my next ride. thanks for sharing your opinion and point of view.

I can't say "investment" as depreciation may be greater, especially for a stick, as the majority don't appreciate them as much as enthusiasts do. However, if you are really into the driving experience, it would be more exciting and entertaining. E63 would be more of a balance of luxury, comfort, and acceleration.

The least i can do is explain myself, we all have our own opinions.. The C is alot more fun to drive, its smaller/lighter,easier to drive spirited.. I loved the C, i had an 08 c300.. and honestly im a little undecided on what model is nicer looking.(c or e) One problem i had was how a 40K + car only has 228hp.. MB finally got the hint and gave the 12' E 302, years prior the w212 had something like 268.. big difference..My fiance has a new C and when i get in wow i dont miss how tight it is in there. Plenty of things bother my with the E also..my 63K car doesnt come with hid's,or leather standard WOW!..Theres a reason the call the C "entry level" The E has a "big boy" feeling, its a bigger car, bigger price tag.. not too many teenage boys/girls driving an E. I dont want to come across as a jerk, and think im special bc i have an E class.. My first car was a pick up truck, purchased it brand new for 29K.. soo you can see i dont need a car to have a status.

2012 c250
full time sushi chef! haha 13 hours a day 5 days a week...bought my c250 as a christmas present for myself..the wife hated it but was happy for me so thats all that mattered. now she loves the car more than her bmw 328. of course right??

its amazing how much diversity there is owning the same cars. i practically read through the whole thread and im impressed.
before moving to LV, i couldnt even dream of bmws or benz...my first car was a '98 jeep cherokee...overheated at every stop light. i literally sat at a stop light and watched my gas level needle drop slowly...damn 4.0L
second car i pretty much stole from my uncle '98 lexus Gs300. only reason was for the 2JZ motor haha!! ended up selling it before i could do anything on it 'cause my mother totalled her car and needed a new one...by then i had enough and bought myself a nismo 350Z...dropped in a Greddy twin turbo...pretty much spent enough money to buy a brand new 350z...was going to bring it with me to LV but couldnt afford paying off the remaining balance so unfortunately sold it...came
out here and first thing i did was buy myself a civic...yea wierd huh?? i had plans to trick the hell out of it but the new C class caught my eye...and so i went on a saturday evening with my civic on an empty tank and demanded that i leave the lot with a brand new C250...and now here i am...a happy owner of the newest W204...

enjoy your rides!! as i am with mine.
