to the people who are wondering how the younger generation can afford these cars, dont forget, when you were younger, Mercs were really out of reach for a good part of the public. Heck i remember when I bought my C320 4matic 9 years ago, it is definitely more expensive than what the C300 or C350s are going for now. Plus, they actually offer attractive lease or finance terms... finance of 0.9% never existed back then.
Mercs are way more accessible to the public now, for better or worse, this strategy has really opened up the potential market for people that can drive a Benz
imo, it is a good thing

I am a U.S. Army Officer--Infantry and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (Bomb squad). Took many years to afford this car and very proud of it. Frnakly never thought I could ever own a Mercedes.
Like Sportstick and many others I can't beleive the number of college students with MBs. Although I had a Toyota MR2 in college that was like driving a go-cart--easy to find a parking space too...

I am a Flight Instructor. I teach from Private pilots all the way to Air Transport Pilots.. I used to be a Boeing 727 pilot for a major US Airline before it shut down...like many
That is my part time job, I am a full Time Corporate Director of Sales & Marketing for a major Hotel chain.
BTW, I enjoy the hell out of my part time job. I wish I can make it full time or get back to flying as a profession...

Probably the oddest jobs here. I run a leisure sailing program for people with disabilities. I also work at a family business grocery/dvd store, and I sometimes teach boxing at my local club. I plan on getting another part time job as a swimming instructor.

Just scanned through 8 pages of what is an amazingly diverse group of professions (+ students) and demographics. It makes me think the MB marketing guys have one hell of a challenge, but then again, maybe not. As diverse as this group is, we obviously have a common love for superior German auto engineering. Very cool thread.
Oh, I am a consultant to the metal finishing industry. Mostly anodized, painted or powder coated aluminum. If you left your house today, it is likely you walked through an anodized or painted aluminum door in either a retail, commercial or industrial space. Or for you medical guys, you may have had a hardcoat anodized medical instrument in your hands. And when you jumped in your mercs, you came in contact with finished aluminum for certain.

Anything that makes other's lives more enjoyable is Top Notch in my Book.
I used to teach CCD (religious teaching program of the Catholic Church) to mentally challenged children and it was one of the most rewarding events of my life.
