Headlight Issue
Headlight Issue
I have a 2008 C350 and the daytime driving lights are enabled. Well at night, I like to have the fog lights one, so when I change the lights from the off mode to the on mode, the headlights turn off, but the fog lights do turn on. I tried deactivating the daytime lights, but that didn't work. So right now, my only source of lights is with the daytime driving lights enabled. Waht could this be, a fuse maybe?
I may be wrong, but I don't think there is a "fuse box" as all external lights are run through the ECU (someone correct me if I'm wrong, I very well may be). Do you mean when you switch the lights from Auto (A) to on, the lights actually turn off?
Well, the lights are actually in the off (O) mode right now, but the Daytime driving lights are on. IF I switch to auto (A) or the Light mode where you can turn the foglights on, the headlights turn off.

You need to turn the switch all the the way to the last icon on the dial, and then pull out the switch one time only. This will turn on the head lights AND the fog lights simultaneously. (If you pull the switch twice you will turn on the rear fog light).

I have tried both ways. If I only turn the dial to the last icon, with and without pulling out the switch one time only, the lights don't turn on. The headlights will only turn on in the off mode with the DRL enabled. Since mine is a 2008 model, th DRL's are the headlights, not the led fog lights.
