somethings wrong, any suggestions?
A Engine check sign pops up and then an error message saying ESP inoperative. I try for 20mins messing around with the car to fix it (reset TCU, turn the wheel back and forth) and nothing. Luckily I had my track car here so I just took that to class and didn't miss my test, but now Im stuck with my c350 busted.
Any body have any idea as to why its acting up? I know ESP is a safety issue but I haven't had any incidents to make the car throw that code?
Im now able to get the car driving regularly after turning the wheel totally left then right a few times but the car will only drive regularly for about 10mins then It will act up again.
hopefully someone out here can help me, seeing as I dont wanna pay an arm and leg at the deal ( no warranty ) Because driving a track tuned car with a stage 3.5 clutch in Orlando traffic is a nightmare.
2)Please post a pic of the track car.
cheers! Mike
How was the steering wheel? Did that trip the error? There is a steering wheel angle sensor that is known to be a gremlin on other mercedes models, but doesn't usually correlate with loss of power. Those symptoms point me to believe it could be the: B24/15 = YAW RATE AND LATERAL ACCELERATION SENSOR-ESP p/n:216-542-00-18 (for e-class, not sure for w204) or the ESP module.

My car is using stock filters and has no tune. Hopefully the MAF sensor went bad bc that is a simple fix and I dont think the filters have been replaced in a while. also there is a Engine Check light, which makes me worry.
and no the ECU reset did nothing.
