how to upgrade my lighting
hi everyone
I have a 2009 c300 and am wondering how difficult or expensive it would be to upgrade my headlights and fog lights to the LED's that are on the 2012's.
Thanks

Not difficult at all just trade your 2009 for a 2012. Serious the headlight is a totally different shape so it would mean new fenders, bumper and most likely hood. Not worth it.

For one thing, I don't even think this is a worthy upgrade. I assume you have projectors already on your pre-facelift C - just add HIDs if you don't have them already. The facelifted headlights aren't THAT much nicer to warrant an upgrade in my opinion.
Plus I don't know if you realize how much money you'd be talking - probably over $2,000. Doesn't matter though since they won't fit.
Also, for me, the major appeal of the HID headlamps on the facelifted model are the added features (maybe these also existed before the facelift?) of automatic highbeams, and the way the headlamps adjust down for fog, around corners, etc.

The LED retrofit isnt bad, its around 400 in parts. Kinda tricky to do unless your comfy workin on these cars. Takes me about 5 hours to do one including wiring and all. The headlights isnt worth it, you need different hood, fenders, and bumpercover plus the lights. about 2800 in parts w painting and labor. Get a good HID kit and use the factory profectors, then add the LED mirror light covers and your in a 2011 look-alike. You can changet he tailights to the 2012 style pretty easily tho

Thanks guys...after i wrote my message..i realized that it would be pointless to do the headlights...i already have the HID's..i just really liked the LED strip. I am still very interested in switching the fog lights...i just seem to prefer the LED look over the standard ones....so i think ill look into finding someone to switch those as well as my tail lights...thanks guys...really appraciate it.
