so last night my c300 was parked at a grocery store. To my horror i saw it vandalized when i returned back to my car. The wiper arms were bended 90 degrees and keyed in. I did bend the wiper arms back(not so easily mealliable metal) but now it seems to be off aligned. Where can i find wiper arm for 08' c300 and is it a simple DIY? i guess it will cost me an arm n leg to get wiper arm fixed at the dealership.

nope parked in a well lit Walmart parking with cameras all around.
I usually avoid taking it out for such stuff but couldnt avoid it yesterday.

Rule #1 Stay away from Wal-Mart. Shop at Target. I'm sure your car stuck out like a sore thumb in that parking lot. As for wiper parts I'd check with local wrecking yards tho, doesn't seem like it would be a hard park to swap with the proper tools.

Your insurance might pay for this depending on what form comprehensive coverage you have. You were not in the vehicle, it was not moving, and therefore not a chargeable claim (they wont up your rate at renewal). They usually waive the deductible in these instances. No different than a parked hit and run. Call your carrier and ask if it is covered. If you have an agent, they will usually deter you from filing the claim because it hurts their loss ratio. My audi was parked in worcester last year and someone swiped it. I filed a claim, and all repairs were done at no cost to me. My rate was unaffected. That sucks, but wiper arm assembly shouldn't be a difficult DIY. I've seen them pop off with use of a simple screwdrive. Definitely not something you should take to dealer for unless you decide to go insurance route.
