C250 pricing
Hello. Had been hoping to hold out for an E350 Bluetec later this year, but my current car (an 8-yr old Accord) isn't worth fixing anymore, so I'm a car much earlier than I had expected. Plan to get a C250 luxury in the next week or so, but I can't find much information about pricing (what people really paid, not MSRP). Using AmEx through Zag.com shows that I can only get about $1200 off MSRP for a no-options model. That doesn't seem like a very good deal.
What kinds of deals are other people getting? If it helps, I live in the Los Angeles area.
Thanks in advance....

Hit up TrueCar.com... that will be the most representative of what people are getting around you.
I had a dealer come back at me with some statement like "$5,600 is what is built into the C250... you can have it if you want the car" to try to win my business back after I told him to fly a kite.
Email 5 or 6 dealers with what you want. Tell them you are firm on your options and want to communicate via email. Tell them you want their best price for the car and see what they come back with. You may only get 1 or 2 responses - but then you can use those as bargaining tools.

If you have a Costco membership you can try their auto buying service online. I got wholesale pricing plus an additional $750. That was about 8% on a well-optioned C250 coupe. The delaership then included a $2,000 Conquest discount for having a competing premium car brand for a total discount of 12.6% or $5,750. I got this from a dealer in San Rafeal, CA this past Saturday. I am sure they can do a similar deal with the sedan, which is redesigned but not a totally new product as in the case of the coupe.

Thanks!
Thanks for the replies! I contacted about 7 local dealerships in the area through e-mail, and I'm getting some pretty good quotes (that are below the True Car average market price).
