Do you still have the roof rack for the C-class? If so, what would the price be to purchase it from you?

But If you needed a quick park and ride, I wouldn't mind owning one of those.
we've been testing the sea sucker for a few weeks up here in Calgary, Canada. Calgary is one of the highest elevated cities in North America. So far no issues with loss of suction. It's been on the car for 5 days at -5C (23F) and i've taken it up to 150km/h (93mph) with no issues. For me, it's a great bike rack because I also have a '84 GLi which I don't want to put a stationary rack on, so this is perfect.

On a side note, I have a brand new Yakima Whispbar set up w/ custom flat black powder coated main bar ( the siver one) I'm selling for $400 + shipping if anyone is interested.

That's pretty cool but your bike is probably half the weight of mine. I'm running a full DH rig right around 25kg/55lbs.

ea cup holds 200lbs of suction so that is 800lbs......your bike is ok! They have a guy "riding" a bike attached to the back window of an suv on their website.......It's strong!

I have the Yakima racks on the way with the #11 bases...how did you remove the plastic covers on the roof that cover the mounting bracket? Without breaking them.

I had a trailer hitch installed on my '09 C300 Luxury; you can see the hitch under the bumper if you look, but if you weren't looking for it you'd never even notice (I put a nice black rubber hitch cover on it). My car is black, btw, so a different color car may yield different results.

The only hitch available was a class I made by Curt (up to 200lbs, more than enough for my bike rack and bikes). The local hitch installer had a HELL of a time drilling small holes in the inner rear bumper (they ruined like 11 drill bits or something), so be aware of this. It's made of some crazy, German, Schwarzenegger-type of metal. Other than that, it works great!
