Service Indicator

Service Indicator
I searched but there was no answer for this. I have successfully reset my service indicator in the past without problem.
I changed the oil prior to a service indicator light prompt (5000 miles) and when I went through the process of resetting, I get all the way to "Confirm" but when I press OK I get "full service could not be carried out"
At step 6 "confirm full service" I get
Service 1
Service 3
Service 4
Confirm Full Service
Any help would be greatly appreciated

you cannot reset the service indicator that far ahead of schedule. I too change my oil at every 5k-6k miles. I can only reset my service if its within 1000 miles of the due, U can reset for other services in ur maintenence manual, but not for fluids only. At least this is the case for my 2011, I never tried to reset early in my 2008

Thanks for the reply I kinda suspected as much but confirmation is nice to have.
It's actually under 5000 miles so next time I should be between 9 and 10k.
Thanks again, from a 30 year member of the PCA. This site and for that matter my MB c300 are a joy by comparison to my experience with the other German Marque.
