C350 Petrol or C350 CDI
#4
Run into a smilier issue.
I tossed up between the C250 petrol and the C250 CDI.
While the C250 petrol sounded nicer and was marginally smoother at idle I still chose the C250CDI hands down over the petrol!
The torque the diesel produces over the petrol is amazing, the diesel just keeps pulling. It did take me a while to get used to the diesel noise however the instant fuel savings will constantly amaze you.
Good luck with your decision!

In general, MB's 4-cylinder diesels have always been noisier and rougher.

Unlike the i-4 diesels, V6 diesels have good sound and the engine is almost as smooth as a petrol plus you will get better fuel economy. On the other hand, the 350 petrol is a much more reliable engine. It is up to you to decide which you like most.
