Service Question

Hey everyone, let me say thanks to everyone who is able to help me out in advance. I have recently relocated to the Kansas City area from a much larger city. The market for MB's is not exactly what it was were I moved from. There are only two MB dealerships in the city and as a result service prices are much more expensive, at least from what I have been quoted: A service around $300 and B service around $650! I also recently had one of the tire pressure sensors go out on the car and they quoted me $170 for the part and another $130 to reprogram. As I'm sure you will all agree those prices are crazy. My question is does anyone know of a good place in the KC area that can/will service the car? If not what is a good way to go about trying to find somewhere other than a dealership that will service it. I know the best thing to do would be to learn how to do everything myself but I'm not there yet.

Thanks for any help.

As far as the sensors go look on ebay I've seen new ones around $50 and usually discount tire can program it for you for free

One time I asked about the prepaid service at the dealer. the advisor said it depends on the service cost at the time of service. If the cost trend is going up, it makes sense to prepay for it.

I am not sure if you can buy the prepaid service at one dealer, or even from MB, then bring your car to the expensive dealer near you? Can you save the difference that way?

I haven't prepaid anything myself. In my area prepay or post pay are about the same.
