Where to put dynamat to reduce drone

I think the drone comes from rear seat...
how to I remove rear seats so I can put dynamat on...
or where should I put it to reduce drone.

The drone actually comes mostly through the trunk tray and the through the rear seat. Placing the dyna mat inside the tire tray in the trunk would be the most common place.
I had planned on doing a bit of dynamatting as well but my rubber trunk mat quieted things down enough for me to strike it off my to do list.

not going to help much doing the trunk helps a bit but you dont need to pay so much fo the material they bought. Iforgot what I got but it was something from homedepot like roof seal. looks the same as the dynomat thing and works great. sound is slightly reduced but not too much. I might wrap it twice

I'd be concerned about its ability to withstand heat, both for the material itself as well as the adhesive. I really suggest doing the spare tire well first and seeing how you like that change. You'll need to do that part anyway to solve the entire issue as that plastic drum is quite the sound amplifier.

easiest way is to put in on the inside of your race helmet.. unless you're not racing? why do you have such a loud exhaust then?

try this stuff.. works amazing when im at massives and hugging speakers

Agree with others, if you're going to do this, #1 spot to start in the trunk by the spare wheel. Opening it up, it becomes very apparent that it's the only spot that doesn't already have any built in sound dampening from factory as it's just a piece of plastic. Cover that section up and go from there. I threw a layer of Second Skin Damplifier Pro followed up with Luxury Liner Pro and that made a world of difference.

Hate to bring up such an old thread. However, I'm currently dealing with some drone issues on my 2013 C300, it sounds great and is bearable on regular roads. However, on the highway it can become quite brutal. How much did Second Skin Damplifier Pro and Luxury Liner Pro help drone? I can tell that the drone is coming from the trunk tray/ back seats.

Made a pretty significant difference for me and was well worth it. Just make sure you apply it properly.

Just follow the instruction. Get as much surface area as possible. Measure twice, cut once.

Hi
I removed the covers for the B pillar and did that as well, sealed up all the holes and noticed a difference straight away.

Apparently the W204 face lift is a quitter car it would be interesting to learn how they achieved that and where the sound proofing was added.

One more question, how many sq ft. of Damplifier Pro did you use? Can't decide between 13 sq ft. or 20 sq ft. Would obviously prefer to spend less.

Do be honest, can't remember. Just measure out the trunk space and see how much you'll need.
