2010 c300 4-matic, Looking for new wheels/tires what sizes fit without mods? 18? 19?
So it turns out I'm looking to buy new tires and new rims on a budget of well under 2 grand.
I've seen tirerack.com and discount tires.com carid.com etc.
My question is this. I would like wheels/tires of the same size so i can do the optimal X rotations and have the tires last longer.
I don't have any mods on my car no lower springs, no rolled fenders or anything. All stock and I originally had the 17 inch stagger wheels from factory.
so if a wheel is 18X8 5-112 45MGM and there are two tire size choices 215/40-18 and 225/40-18 what does this mean in terms of fitting my car fenders etc.
im digging this wheel http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...w=8&vid=017360

I like that type of look ... Y-spokes. Thicker BBS versions on race cars. Don't like the cheaper Lux take offs?
Search for lots of tire/wheel/offset info ... some major threads there. For durability and ride, I'd stay with 17".

No mods needed to fit them at all. And my rears are 19x10 with 265/30/19. But I do have H&R sports springs, they really dont drop that much, they simply pull the car back down to stock height from the extra gain in wheel gap from going 19". Ride is def a lot harder from stock, i love how much more road feel you get but it doesn't really improve handling since its still stock shocks. 19 looks better than 18", but 18" will be more practical and tires will be cheaper for 18", get ready for lots of pothole dodging if you go for 19". As for tires, go with either Conti DW or DWS, hankook v12 might be cheaper but those Conti last longer in the long run.

The 19's look great, but check out how close the rim edge is to the ground. For nice smooth roads in florida, parts of Calif, etc ... fine. How's the roads in Pa where you are? Remember you don't even know what you hit to bend your 17" rim.

On a $2000 or less budget, you'll have the Forgestar and a set lineup of wheels that we're set to introduce this week. We can make a set of 18" Forgestars at 1359 + S/H.
If you're willing to wait a little.. stay tuned!

This thread is right up my alley!! 2010 C300 4MATIC Sport. I really need some rims that will fit my driving style. Fast driving, suit wearing, sailor. What size did you end up getting? I was thinking 18" to avoid rub but 19" look greeeeaaaatt. help!!
