Command DVD v.9 install
Got ahold of a new map disc and I'm searching for info how to install it... I know the disc is inserted in tray 1, and you let it update by itself, while making sure that the head unit doesn't turn off.... my problem is that that my car is keyless so I can't turn key to position 1, my unit will turn off in about 20 minutes... Anyone knows how to do this, please help.

With my car sitting in my driveway, I locked it with the blade key and raised the hood to let the heat out.
You could do this while driving also, but you cannot shut down until it's through loading or you have to do it over.

Since the ignition must be on for the two hour update time, that means the engine must be running the whole time.

I just update it with the engine off for the first hour, and start the car for 5-10 minutes, then off again until it finishes. I do check on it from time to time and turn the key to "ON" position for a few seconds every 20 minutes or so. The update can be interrupted at anytime, though, and it will resume from where it's left off when COMAND comes back on.
I have done both the 7 and 9 updates the same way. No problems at all.
