Factory led tails, lit up pictures? And are all years the same?

Factory led tails, lit up pictures? And are all years the same?
Regarding the factory led tails that came on the C63, and the tails that come standard on the 2012 C class, and new C coupe... Are these all identical and the same style?

Also, how about some pics of them LIT UP?

That's cool.

I'm confused, so when you don't hit the brake, the led strips are on all the time, right? And when you hit the brake, those led strips get brighter??? And the reverse lights are led as well? What portions use regular filament bulbs?

I think you need to get SAM reprogrammed. I found this link on C63 forum http://m.www.mbworld.org/forums/showthread.php?t=398123

Youre right. I had to get it reprogrammed to switch off the fogs in normal operation otherwise the fog light is constantly on.

actually the back up light is still halogens...only the turn signal is LED...brake light are halogens as well...the strips are lit up by leds on each side but they are just parking lights.

Wait, so those strips aren't the brake lights? WHen you press the brake pedal, nothing that gets brighter is "LED", when brakes are pushed?

correct. they are parking lights. there are halogen bulbs behind them that light up for the brake lights. sad but true...maybe the next upgraded model will
come with full led taillights.

Yup they are only parking lights. I got my bulbs changed to led wedge bulb. So I have full faux led tails. Reverse light is also white wedge led.

these look like honda tail lights to me.... that is why i never went aftermarket...

I just bought the OEM 2012 tail lights, and will be pulling in LED bulbs in the reverse and brake light areas...

Dude, dont worry... its all about the LED strips... that is what looks bad @$$ at night and when DRLing....

if we get a few people together, Whipple said he will do the SAM reprogram for a cheaper group buy price....

Honestly, I don't think those lights look Honda at all. If anything, they look closer to the oem C63 lights. Those are some of the nicest aftermarket tails out.
