I have done both. But I prefer to buy new ones from TireRack instead of re-using the MB ones. If you do a search, the MB ones seem prone to stem breakage (which I experienced first hand) whereas the ones TireRack sells seem to have a more durable/flexible stem.

Hey guys! I'm buying a set of after market wheels for my w204. Will the tpms fit straight on the wheel or do I have to do some drilling or any changes like that? Also I wonder are there any differences between American and European w204's when it comes to the tpms? If someone could send me a link to the correct item to buy I would really appreciate it!

And, new ones will have new (or newer) batteries which are not replaceable.

Buy the new ones.

No difference. Should be simple bolt in. Some earlier made wheels (pre 2001) will not work.
