Pulled the Trigger
The '05 C230 SS was getting a little long in the tooth . . . 80,000 miles and needing some front end work, along with B service, throttle position sensor, etc., so instead of putting any more into it, I decided it was time to trade it in. It's been really fun to drive.
Monday I picked up a 2012 C350. Got it in Lunar Blue with almond, with navi and Keyless Go. I was thinking about going with the new C250, but the difference in mpg wasn't that much, along with knowing the 350 engine is used in a wide range of MB products, and having 100 more hp seemed to do the trick for me.
Hope I enjoy it as much as I have my other Mercedes cars (this is #10).

You will love it!
And the bump in the motor makes a BIG difference when it comes to having a great car all around.
Congratulations!
Wow, 10? You should get a watch or jacket or something.

Thanks everybody. Looking forward to driving it. I'm nuts, but I bought it sight unseen and undriven. I was out of town for work (as usual -- 300 days a year). My partner was going to take the '05 in for service and we decided, what the heck. He's picking it up this afternoon and I won't be back home until Wednesday or Thursday. I'll snap some pics.

Your 05 was long in the tooth at 80k miles?
Mine has 133k and I still enjoy it, but I am having to spend more on maintenance as of late. I'm the type who likes to keep my car "new" even as it ages.. that gets expensive!
Financially it wouldn't make sense to get rid of my 05, but I'd do the exact same thing as you if it did! The facelifted W204 is a big improvement (just like in the W203!). I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Look forward to the pics!

It's strange. Mine made it to 130k before having any issue other than regular maintenance, and technically control arm bushings are regular maintenance.
Sweet!! Are you planning on modifying it in any way? Hmm I have a capri blue 08' c300 and the color looks exactly like your lunar blue. Wonder why they decided to change the name or if there is actually a difference.
