Expected gains after remap
Expected gains after remap
Hi all,
I have booked my car for a remap tune from
Www.evolutionchips.co.uk
What sort of gains should I expect from my car? Just want a rough idea before I get it mapped.
Currently driving c300 auto. I have an x pipe, silencers removed and quad exhaust set up.
Shall I fit an induction kit and sprint booster before I get it mapped or should it not make any difference?
Thanks

If they are going to custom map your car, definitely have your induction work done prior.
You may even decide to forgo the sprint booster if the tuner is able to remove a bit of the throttle lag. If not, the sprint booster can go on afterwards as it is simply a signal booster for throttle signal.

Hi, my experience with a non-turbocharged petrol engine is limited to a VW V5 and the gain wasn't much to be honest - about 5-8%. Had a petrol turbo done and got 15-20%. My current diesel C220 has been remapped and increased by more than 20%. Wish I had the V6 diesel.....!
