Rear licence plate frame, suggestions?

Going on a steel gray C300 sport. I kinda like chrome, and am keeping the current chrome badging, but would like to see some pics of what you guys have. All varieties.

Any frame that has four screws...

If you have any of the many vanity frames with only 2 screws, you will get the dreaded, cheap sounding plate richochet/vibration noise every time you close the trunk because the license plate will not be secure on all four corners...

All OEM Mercedes license plate frames have 4 screws

You are absolutely correct about this problem. But, if you happen to find a frame with only two screws that you really want, there is a pretty good workaround. Go to Home Depot and pick up a small package of clear door stop bumpers...they have adhesive backings, and are sold near the tear off felt pads for chairs and tables. Get the thicker ones, round or square. Place them so they are between the back of the frame and the front of the license plate. Rattle noise....gone!

Which raises the question.....has tit's what? As written, it is possessive, not plural, which in the singular possessive, would look quite odd!

Ha! You're right! LOL I just Googled the picture since I saw it in another forum but couldn't remember where. Still it would look like nice with that steel gray/chrome theme he's got going on. Don't you think?!

Probably so, but I'd suggest a different theme. My steel frame on my Palladium car simply has "Mercedes Benz" in the proper original font in black lettering along the bottom.

Funny I stumbled on this thread. I have an old, four-screw license plate frame from my undergraduate school that I've transferred to/from every daily driver I've had since I graduated (so some sentimental value there). I'm finding that even with some foam tape sandwiched between the frame and the license plate, the bottom edge of the frame is going to hit the decklid.

I was thinking about putting some clear tubing along the bottom edge of the frame but that will rub against the decklid as well. I don't want to damage the paint but the license plate itself (which I transferred from my previous DD) has faded everywhere except where the frame covered it. What to do? Time to experiment, or resign my old frame to my hobby car...
