HID help

Hey I wasn't sure if I had hids already on my 2008 c350 that I just bought. I was at the dealership and the guy said I had hids but he was just guessing because he just told me to turn on my lights but i took a pic of where the bulb goes hoping someone can let me kno if these are hids or not.

Welcome ABitria but the picture shows that you have regular Halogen bulbs. Best place to buy a HID kit try DDMtuning.com $40.00 for a kit and also get the 55W kit.

I installed aznoptics kits in my car this weekend for low and hibeams. They look great and wow are they bright! Mike is great to work with too. If you get them there is a YouTube video on how to install them. If you follow the instructions you will have no issues. One note--the video shows best place to mount one ballast on each side. Since I installed 2 on each side you need to place the ballasts side by side. There is enough room to do this. I will say however to have patience installing the left side hi-beam. Very tight fit getting. Yery tight fit getting you hand in to set the bulb in the lenses housing. Good luck!

I've heard that there were heat issues with running the 55W kits. Have you guys experienced any issues with heat, melting parts, hazing inside the lens housings, etc.? Does running the 55W kit eliminate the need for an error code eliminator, because the constant draw is 55W instead of 35W?

I originally wanted to purchase the 55W but opted for a 35W kit w/ error code eliminators instead. Can you guys provide more feedback on the 55W kits? Thanks!

I have the 55w with error code eliminator and no hazing or melting here. My dads ML350 has 55w with no problems and my civic has 35w with no problems as well. The civic is the everyday car and when I recently checked them was 2 days ago remember I bought the kit for the civic last year in March and no melting parts or hazing problems.

@ Spec_Davis - Thanks for the feedback. It's good to hear that at least one person has had positive experiences with the 55W kit. I may look at the 55W kits in the future.
