New possible C Concept Coup

Shown this week at the 2012 Beijing International Auto Show. Your thoughts as to where Mercedes is going with their styling? This may give hints as to the look of the new W205. (EDIT) Even though the caption to this picture claims the car to be a "Coupe", The Guardian made a mistake. It's in fact a 4 door sedan.)

Dr Dieter Zetsche, Daimler AG's chief executive officer, poses with Jessie J following the presentation of the New Mercedes Benz Concept Style Coupe

And this is the Sedan (future C-Class W-205 maybe?)

Similar front end seen on this W205 concept from last year.

I like it, I recently posted a link to the AutoBlog entry somewhere on this forum but it seems like my post and threads need to be approved or screened by administrators, so until then it's lost on MBWorld discussion forum cyber space - lol. Anyhow I think it's real close to what we should expect from the W205 sans the sliding doors off-coarse.

The wheels on the concept... No. The concept looks nice, though!

I like the styling associated with the W204 and similar generations on other classes more, but I'm sure their new approach in styling will grow on me.

I like the chick giving it two thumbs up, but I'm curious why you started a new thread about the same thing you commented on here? https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...yle-coupe.html

I do really like the styling of the car though. Looks mean, but I agree w/ Richard2011, not feeling the rims.

I think it's just mercedes calling it a coupe like they did with the CLS >_> Just another way to get insurance premiums up maybe. Lol.

Dont think this is a replacement for the C-class.It has the same underpinnings as the B class, and its FWD! looks good though. But looking at the headlights on the last few new cars merc came out with, i guess we know how the front end might end up looking on the new C .

Correct! But it's AWD as well. Regardless it's stunning to look at...

You guys are so out of the loop..

This concept is going into production next year as the CLA, already been confirmed by MB. it's a 4 passenger, 4 door coupe based on the new A Class which will slot below the C Class.

Expect the 205 C Class to be much more practical and mainstream than this.

There aren't sliding doors on the concept. I think it's 90% production ready.

Yep! thats what i've been trying to say.. this wont be a replacement for the C , but the design language might be similar for the new C. I hope they launch with a C coupe or that would be a bummer.
