transmission flush

transmission flush
I drive a 2009 C350. A local shop with a decent reputation is using a transmission flush that they claim removes all the latent fluid. Then they refill with syn fluid and claim this largely eliminates the need for a filter change.
Also checked with my local MB dealer and when asked if they drain the torque converter as part of the trans service they said no. They do a basic drain and filter change.
I'm curious has anyone else run into this?
Thanks

They NEED to drain the TC and change the filter.

The only thing you ever use to flush a Benz transmission is the approved fluid used in it.
