There is a forum member in the w204/C63 forums that I have contacted to do a Group Buy for the reprogramming of the w204 2008-2009 SAM Module that controls the rear tail light functions, so that they will then work 100% OEM style with no errors and all bulbs functioning like they are supposed to from the factory. This is a great opportunity to upgrade to the new 2012 style lights and have them fully functioning by saving up to 50% of the normal reprogramming price.
Normal SAM Reprogram Price: $200
5 Person Group Buy Price: $150
10 Person Group Buy Price: $100
I know I have seen a few people in here buy the 2012 tail lights recently and some have left them installed with the drivers side rear fog light on 100% of the time and the drivers break light partially on, which looks pretty sloppy and doesn't function correctly...

Ok, I emailed Whipple.... here is his response:
"Just set up a date for everyone to send them in. And lets go for it. In order for this to work we need them to be here at the same time. Next day air would be the most reliable for this. So people are going to have to understand that shipping is not 100%. I will do the programming on the day everyone arrives. And send back out that day or the next. I have the car set up to do the programming already. I can do Paypal or checks which ever anyone prefers. "
I will circulate a PM or email with all 10 in the group buy when I get the shipping address and the paypal address if you are paying with paypal instead of check...
What this means is that he is not going to start programming until all 10 are received... meaning that if we don't coordinate this right, that our SAMs could be waiting there for a couple days longer if for some reason people lag on the shipping....
So how about this... Will everybody be able to remove their SAMs over the weekend and pack for shipping to mail out Monday morning?
Include a note with your MB world USERNAME in the package so Whipple can keep track of who paid with their SAM, and also include a RETURN SHIPPING LABEL (your choice of shipping speed/insurance)
I am thinking we should use 2-3 day shipping minimum on the way there (USPS first class/priority mail/UPS or FEDEX 3-day select) if we all ship out Monday morning... Which would have our SAMs en route to being shipped back to us by Thursday with 1 day turn around from Whipple....
If you guys can't afford that much downtime, lets get a consensus and see if everyone is down to go with overnight.... This is kinda tricky depending on everyone's indidivual needs, so please weigh in here...

Im really sorry guys I was just told today to head over to my family in NY for family events today so I'll have to drive across state from MA to NY and I will need the car everyday until I come back the Monday after next week. That would be too long for the others to wait so I guess I'll have to opt out.

I just emailed whipple again and am checking to see how this will work out if not everyone ships their SAMs to him at the same time by Wednesday...
Please respond here to confirm you can do the Wednesday shipping arrrival... If not, please put when...

"I have a customer car coming in to do this. If people can wait for all of them to show up at the same time I can wait. But if not I have to have him come back and take his car apart again. If it is close enough to the 10 I will let it ride on this one. But I can not do it individually or more than twice."

I can ship mine over to him this week but I can't do it by Wednesday. Shipping will take at least 2 business days for me even by Xpresspost as I'm in Toronto. Is it ok if mine reaches him on Thursday/ Friday?
I will be getting a rental for the time my car is out of service so I hope there are no delays.
Whatever the case, just give me 2-3 days' notice and I'll get it done. I'll even ship it by Fedex Express if I have to.
