2012 w204 Tail Light Group Buy for Reprogrammed SAM Module

1. Get your sam programmed inside a 2012 W204, and then have it removed from the 2012 W204 and installed in yours.
(Only way to program a 2011 rear SAM, you must have a 2012 facelift C-Class available.)
2. Buy a New Rear SAM somewhere and let some program it. (Must be in a 2012 facelift C-Class)
3. Find a used(already programmed) 2012 rear SAM at a salvage yard or online somewhere such as eBay.
The third option is your best bet and the least costly. Brand new SAMs cost $600.

Why only the face lift model? Dont all 12'a have the same tail lights? Also, are you just assuming this to work or do you know of someone who has successfully done this? Thanks. ..

There is a forum member in the w204/C63 forums that I have contacted to do a Group Buy for the reprogramming of the w204 2008-2009 SAM Module that controls the rear tail light functions, so that they will then work 100% OEM style with no errors and all bulbs functioning like they are supposed to from the factory. This is a great opportunity to upgrade to the new 2012 style lights and have them fully functioning by saving up to 50% of the normal reprogramming price.
Normal SAM Reprogram Price: $200
5 Person Group Buy Price: $150
10 Person Group Buy Price: $100
I know I have seen a few people in here buy the 2012 tail lights recently and some have left them installed with the drivers side rear fog light on 100% of the time and the drivers break light partially on, which looks pretty sloppy and doesn't function correctly...
2012 PART #s to order from www.Parts.com:
Left Tail: 204 820 41 64 ≈ $200
Right Tail: 204 820 28 64 ≈ $200
Shipping: ≈ $60
Left = before reprogramming (Not lit up properly having break light always on and driver side rear fog always On)
Right = after reprogramming (100% factory)
Here is the main thread for the retrofit:
https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...rofit-diy.html
So if anybody is down, please add your name below and when we hopefully get 5 or 10 people, I will contact him and him know we have enough and we can coordinate a date to start shipping our SAM modules to him:
1.rb23lb
2.meli1507 (2011 c300)

reprogramming rear sam unit
Anyone out there know anyone who can reprogram/reset the rear SAM unit on a 2004 mercedes c240.
had to change battery. started great, but all rear lighting not working. So brought a used rear sam off of ebay. changed it all over. lights etc work great but car will not start. suspect that rear sam needs to be programmed,
can be contacted at: scarletpimponel@hotmail.com
Thanks all
Nigel

Found an easy fix guys!
So I did the retrofit to the new tail lights and was able to fix the problem of the driver's side rear fog light being on.
All I did was pull out the white wire at the top of the tail light!
Of course I have an error code saying the fog light is burnt out but at least it isn't always on. I have no problems with the brake lights or any other function at all.
From here, I will buy a resister and hook it up to the white wire so it thinks there is a bulb in it. Should be simple and problem solved .

Idk why this is still a thing.. I mean I guess I do understand those who wish to use OEM lighting will still need this done, but they make lights now that come with capacitors that take the excess voltage and displaces it so that the SAM will never throw an error code.
Just a heads up
