A/C Blower slows down when braking
Hey guys, yesterday I had my A/C on in manual mode and in two occasions when I pressed the brake to slow down in traffic the A/C Blower slowed down (like when you put it in 1 bar) for 2 secs and then came back to the normal speed (4 bars in the display). The blower display never changed it kept showing the 4 speed bars. This happened in a 2008 C350...
BTW, it was normal braking not a sudden stop or anything. Has anyone experienced this or knows what the problem could be?

If it is significantly slowing down, this is most likely a problem with your alternator (not generating enough power at idle RPMs). Does this happen when you have a lot of accessories running? The rear defroster in particular draws a lot of power. You might want to go into the 'dyno mode' menu to have a look at the voltage / amperage when it happens. If your alternator were to really bite the dust, you should get a red message in the instrument cluster though. I have noticed a very SLIGHT slow down in the fan when braking if I have it on full and many accessories running (this is pretty much normal).
