Non-staggered Wheels and Tires
From what I've read the typical 18" staggered wheels (8.5F and 9.5R) use 235/40/18 and 265/35/18 tires. If I were to go non-staggered 8.5" wide wheels, would 235/35/18 work on all four corners? It's the middle number that really confuses me; I don't really understand why it's different in the front vs the back.

The middle number is the percentage of the width. The overall diameter is still the same or circumference. Stock staggered AMG wheels in 18 have a 255/35/18 on the rear. You should be just fine.
