I watched MB Keyless Go movie again. KG can open and close windows and sunroof from outside. Non KG car can also do that by aiming key at the black square on the door pull.

So KG car has black square plus the touch pads, Two controls perform the same function?

I don't remember seeing a KG car when I was shopping for my 2011 C. I didn't pay attention to that option which is like $700. If I knew I would have bought it.

2012 C350
I had the BMW equivalent on my 2006 330xi (they call it Comfort Access), and loved it. Whenever I drove my wifes car, and actually had to reach into my pockets to pull out the keys to open/start the car, it felt really strange. My wife always thought it was a useless feature, and didn't understand why I liked it so much. When I got my 2012 C350, she took over my 330xi - after 2 weeks, she's a convert, and absolutely loves it.

It may not a "must have" feature for some (it is for me now), but once you're used to it, I doubt you'd ever really want to be without it.

Because that silly little blue push button cannot be used in a W204 so his post was pointless. Well, not if you are driving a "blue turd" as in the video.

There are plenty of pointless posts on this board... at the end of the day its not that big of a deal.

No, Keyless Go is an option in Canada, part of the Premium Package for the C350.

2015 GLK250 Bluetec 4Matic / 2013 C350 4Matic
@batm56: I know this is an old thread, but I cant seem to find this answer anywhere

Im in Canada, and I have a 2013 GLK 350 with Keyless-go. Love it!

We have bought a 2013 C350 4Matic for my wife and its on the way. One of the main reasons we went with C350 over C300 was the keyless go. When I asked the Sales rep, he assured me that Keyless-go is only available for C350 in 2013 MY

Do you know conclusively if C300 does, or does not have the Keyless-go option in MY2013?

(or if anyone else knows, please do tell!)

Looks like it is optional across the board.

Thanks for the quick reply Guy, but it seems to stipulate that the KG option is part of the Convinence Package, which is not an opton on the Canadian C300.

It is an option, however, on the C350

I have the Canadian 2012 and 2013 C-Class brochures in front of me, and according to them, Keyless-Go is only available with the C350 or C63 for MY2013, but was also available for the C300 for MY2012. Hope that helps.

I don't know why they don't offer it as an option across the entire product line, as it's such a great feature. When I got my C350 and gave my wife my 2006 330xi, she didn't think she'd care about the Comfort Access (BMW's name for Keyless Go), but now she thinks its wonderful, and I don't think she'd be willing to give it up.

BTW, on a completely unrelated note, I just bought a Viseeo Tune2Air WMA1000 Bluetooth adapter, and am thrilled with it. It attaches to the MMI interface, and provides FULL control of a iPhone/iPod via Bluetooth rather than simply providing track/volume up/down. It was $114 landed cost, order through the UK. I'd suggest you look into it if you'd like more flexibility than the simple Bluetooth capability that comes standard.

Best of luck with your C350 4M - hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy mine (BTW, the 4M is much better in the snow than the X-drive in BMW).

Thanks for the kind words. This time around i tried to be open minded and entertain the BMW 335xi m-sport, as well as the Audi A4-SLine/S4, but after driving them both, there is a certain elegance and class that the Mercedes has that the others just dont have, or even understand really. The c350 was an easy choice. Especially with the 4matic option being availble in Canada. 300 ponies with all wheel drive felt like I was glued to the road, but still poised with a feeling of solidity and grace that was both safe feeling, and confident at the same time.

anyways.... haha

I love my C350, and definitely feel that it has a refinement (or class/elegance) that is lacking in the BMW, but I must say that the BMW slogan of Ultimate Driving Machine is pretty accurate. My wifes 2006 330xi is approaching 60,000KM, and it is still so tight that it feels like a new car. My son has a 2002 330ci with close to 200K, and it still drives like a typical N/A car with 20K. I had originally planned on buying a 2012 335xi last year, but felt that the C350 offered more bang for the buck for my situation, due in part to the sorry state of the roads here in Manitoba. If I lived in an area with pot hole free roads and twisty, windy curves, I would probably have bought another 3 series instead of the C350. After my experience with the refinement of MB though, I think I'll be leaning towards MB again when it comes time to replace the C350. I seriously don't think that you can go wrong with either BMW or MB - they are both great cars.
