Keyless Go
My 2011 C does not have Keyless Go. If I buy the Keyless Go push button, will it work normally? I know with Keyless Go there is a touch pad on the exterior door handle which can open or close window and lock or unlock door.
I don't think I will buy it but just want to know what the relation is between engine start and the door touch pad function.

I think it will work. When I got my C350, the dealer said it had KG. Then, when I went down to test drive it before I bought, it wasn't there.
When I pointed it out, they said, they'll just input the KG start/stop engine button and I'll be good to go, which they did. Therefore, I assume, they all come KG-ready.
...but I could be wrong!

I'm not MBRedux, but here's my reason for not buying keyless go. I absolutley can not stand (OCD?) anything in my pocket. So if I had the keyless go in my pocket I'd need to take it out when I get in the car. If I'm going to take it out anyhow and put it somewhere I may as well put it in the ignition. And if I'm going to do that, then what does keyless go get me?

^^^^^^^ True on that^^^^^^^^ Im probably not going to put it in unless its cheap I am not that lazy. I could spend my money on other features that give me more comfort.

When they delivered the car to me the next day, it was in. It pops out too, in case the signal dies from the key, so you can start it the normal way as well. Once I learned that, I assumed all are KG-ready.
Hope that helps!

Also, for what it's worth , I absolutely LOVE the keyless go feature. This is my first MB and I came from Lexus which had it standard. To me, it's one of those features you don't appreciate or realize you "need" it until you don't have it.
I love the convenience on being able to get in the car and have it started within a second of getting in. I love not using my key for anything really!

Basically, yes. They sent me the Sticker for the car, which had that on it. When I got to the dealer to test drive that specific car it wasn't there. I asked the guy and he said this car didn't come with it so I showed him the sticker sent to me and he said, "Oh, ok, we'll just put the button in."

Keyless Go is way more than just a button, it has special door hands on all doors and a number of control modules involved.
For what its worth I tried my Keyless Go ignition button on my friend's car and it doesn't work.

Maybe the car did have Keyless Go but the button is just missing?

I wonder if I bought a C63 emblem and stuck it on my lowly C300 (not even silver) if it would suddenly have 451hp? So much cheaper than shelling out 75 grand, too.

The "black square thing" is a receiver for you to aim your normal key at and hold the unluck button. While you hold the button the windows will go down and the sunroof will open.

You guys are insane and this thread might as well be a very late april fools joke.
You cannot just program keyless go.
You would have to change out everything, you'd even need new keys.
Wish I had keyless go myself, but couldn't wait for delivery so I had to take what was on the lot.

I never said that you can just "simply program keyless go". This is a MAJOR undertaking and as far as I'm concerned, a complete waste of time, money and energy. Keyless start/go/whatever... total IMO.
