ignition lock broken
ignition lock broken
hi lads,
the car broke down last night and had to be taken to the dealers garage and they said the ignition lock was failing and needs to be replaced (due to wear and tear!)at a cost of 820 euro. The car is 4 years old and i was wondering if anyone has heard of this happening before and what would be the chances of mercedes changing it themselves as a sign of goodwill.
Mick.

If you search on this forum you will find that EIS failure is common. They certainly die more often than they should.
