My SA BEE-Mercedes made me walk home today
No problem one moment, no starting the next.
The whirr noise when key is inserted is missing, tried both keys.
Key turn, car can be locked?unlocked as well as boot.
Waiting for tow-truck to load car off to dealership.

This failure is becoming famous here. Boy, am I glad I bought an extended warranty to pay for this $1100 repair. Plus towing.

Reliability in question
No cost to me, but I am afraid I have a question about reliability. Towtruck operator say the C-Class he loads by far the most.
Don't you think an proper investigation (remember 25mil miles ?) is in order, and then a recall on all W204s for this issue.
