In your signature pic it looks like the C is parked in that same end spot that the little silver crapper got smacked out of, so as unfortunate as this is, it could have been worse if you were there again....good luck with getting it all worked out.
btw - I agree with MBRedux, looking at the damage, I would agree a box truck's T-bar fits pretty well.
(Is it a requirement of the association that each female resident must wear at least 1 article of pink clothing? just messing with ya...)

I would have called the police first thing and had them take an accident report the second I found the damage! Taking pictures was good, but to have a Police Report is better. Calling them now, after the fact may be too late. Keep on eye on that covered black car. I would even ring the door bell!

The police are lazy and stretching the truth. They could ring his doorbell and question him about what happened to his car. Naturally, he has the right to refuse to speak to them.
Maybe you and your neighbor could go over there and ask them if they've seen anything.
