Unhappy Please help how to bleed brakes

I have 2008 Mercedes w204 c350
Can someone please advise me on how to bleed brakes.
On wis it says there are 6 bleed nipples 4 at front 2 at back. I can only find 4 2 front 2 back. Also someone told me you need to plug in star to bleed brakes.
Is this true? I have tried the normal way of someone pumping the pedal while I bleed calipers but can't get a good padel still sinks to floor. I have changed the master cylinder and brake servo and still nothing. Please can someone help. Thank you.

If they say 4 up front I'm thinking there may be two nipples on the master cylinder. Not sure though.

Changed the master cylinder and brake servo(?) - Can you elaborate on what lead you to the diagnosis to complete this work? Appreciated.

I made one of these & it works well. I use about 15 PSI air pressure from an air compressor. instead of the pump up bottle.

My front calipers only have one bleeding nipple.

I think you may have an airlock in your system . A pressure bleed may fix the problem.

Smile Bleeding brake system

Hello and thank you for your fast response. Let me start at the beginning. 6 months ago I brought a lovely 2008 c350 with possibly every option available. The car had front right chassis damage also where the hit was it also damaged part of the engine, alternator and engine front case where damaged. The engine and trans had to be removed as I planed to buy a whole new chassis leg from mb and replace, when engine was removed we noticed that the impact had pussed the transmission against the bulk and cracked the back so had to add trans to long list of parts needed. After months of hunting for parts at not mb prices I got her all done now apart from this brake situation and a few other bits and bobs like pan sunroof goes back and opens fine but really slowly starts and stops, and the multi function steering wheel buttons and paddle shift don't work and the brakes thing apart from that car runs and even drives fine as I could not wait to test drive it even with very weak brakes around the yard. So please any advice on any of the above matters would be greatly apreaciated. I have come to the end of spending money as if I add it up now I could of brought a 2011 c350 from mb it has cost me a small fortune. So please people help.
Oh yeah to answer your question about changing the servo and mc, I have done so much research on this car I know every breaker and parts dealer in England so I managed to get the parts really cheap so thought let me try.
I have pic of my build from start to finish when I work out how to put them up I will post them
Anyway folks thank you.

Oh my God , you are a brave man . Well done. Did you do the work yourself ?

I wonder whether the soft peddle is anything to do with the ABS system ? Can you blank the lines off to the ABS & see whether the brake unit itself is OK?

You have to pressure bleed it because of the ABS/ESP. Pumping the pedal does not work.

Top dollar unit... approx. $400

Budget unit: $68.00 w/adaptor

Features Custom-machined aluminum cap and deluxe swivel fitting. Comes with an extra length of high-grade polyurethane tubing that won't cloud or crack with exposure to brake fluid. Works on most European cars, including Alfa Romeo, Audi, BMW, Fiat, Mercedes, Peugeot, Porsche, Renault, SAAB, Volkswagen, Volvo, and all other cars with 45mm threaded hydraulic fluid reservoir caps. This kit comes with adapter 1109. All bleeders come with a full 1-year warranty. This self pump system creates pressure using a little elbow grease. Once the system is pressurized, you simply bleed out fluid (and air, supposedly) from each brake caliper. What's Cool about the Black Label Power Bleeder is that it has a swivel fitting in the fluid line. This allows you to tighten the adapter onto the fluid reservoir without causing kinks and twists in the line. Very useful. Works on all European cars.

Thank you all.
I have tried to pressure bleed the system today to no avail. I still don't get a pedal. I plugged into snap on solus pro and it's coming up with ESP/abs unit not coded.. I don't have a clue what this means, can it mean I need to code abs unit as this was never removed, the brake system has ran dry due to front sub frame was removed can anyone help. Do I need a new abs unit??? I hope not.
Thank you.

Hello Mate,

By my way of thinking & in the absence of more technical help , if the pedal is going to the floor there is either an airlock in the master cylinder , an airlock before the master cylinder not allowing fluid to get to it . ...OR .....the fluid is being pumped by the master cylinder &

1. being recirced some how by the ABS or

2. there is more air to be bled out down stream of the master cylinder.

Take a look at the thoughts & especially the diagrams of the ABS unit in this link :

https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...ys-normal.html

Young Glyn may know more detail on how this gentlemans ABS was sorted.
