Philips Crystal Vision vs Diamond Vision

Hello all,

I've been trying to replace my stock fog lamp bulbs with something that matches the stop Bi-Xenons better, but haven't been able to decide whether the crystal visions or diamond visions would be better for the job. I plan on getting the AZN eyelid LEDs eventually as well and I would like for everything to match up. I've looked through the numerous threads, but haven't been able to find a definitive answer, some say the CVs are better while others say go with DV. Help!

Diamond vision is more white (5000k) than crystal vision (off white/4500k), so it really depends what you prefer. The difference is really tiny and I think 5000k resembles natural daylight, which is better for nighttime driving even though 4500k is technically brighter.

Why not upgrade to HIDs? Or do you have the facelift model?

Well I know the best way is to go the HID route, but I prefer to stay away from having to pay $100+ just to match the lights. lol I don't live in a particularly foggy area so using them for that purpose really isn't going to be an issue. With that said I would like to have them have a little effect. Also, I'll be putting on the Lamin-X film on the fogs and have heard they leave burn marks after awhile unless you use LEDs. Has anyone found any good LEDs for the fogs that match??

Oh, I didn't see that this was for fog lamps I wouldn't do HID fogs either because of that same reason.

I just want an LED that matches the stock Bi-Xenons for the fogs!

Diamond Visions are a better match. Crystal vision still has a decent amount of yellow to it.

I'll suggest going with diamond visions as well. Running 6000K HIDs and I would say it's a very close match.

+1

I'm running diamond vision fogs with 6000k HID's as well, and the match is pretty darn close. Also matches well with LED eyelids I have as well.

Thanks for the help! Would either of you (Royce118 and AMG_79) happen to use the Lamin-X fog light films with these bulbs?

+1 for Diamond. I had both, and the Diamond is better match to HID or Xenon
