C350 Headlights flickering

So I have an 09 C350 and my headlights(HID) have been trippin out. During the day when they are on auto, sometimes they randomly turn on and off about 2-3 times really quick. Also when I have lights turn to the on possition they will turn off and on like I am flashing them but not touching the switch at all. This only happens during the day. At night they work fine with no problems but like I said during the day they wont stay off when in auto and wont stay steady on when in the on position.

Any ideas?

So what are the chances that both are loose and became loose at the same time? Or if one is loose do they get effected? I was thinking something out of wack with my light sensor or a relay somewhere. I guess I will have to take it in.

Does this only happen in the Auto position? If so you have a faulty light sensor.

It happens allot when in auto. But the odd part is that it happens when I have them in the "on" position but only when it's light out.......
My tech said it could be my switch as well. Since there is no warning light it is not covered under warranty

If they can replicate the problem and it is a malfunction, it should be covered under warranty. You don't necessarily need a warning light.
