I like it, looks different! It may not be everyone's favorite but I am a fan.

Keep doing work.

A fair answer.

For crying out loud Sportstick, it is just an expression, lighten up Francis....

I do not care about who does what to their car so much, by how come nobody is talking about the fact that this little beauty is photochopped to hell, look at the rear wheel well, can you explain the black line that makes the tire completely disappear?

No thanks. In my world, words matter, and few are as ugly as "hate". If that has become casual to others, the problem lies therein. Here is a more eloquent expression on the topic, from an old song lyric.

You've got to be taught
To hate and fear,
You've got to be taught
From year to year,
It's got to be drummed
In your dear little ear
You've got to be carefully taught.

You've got to be taught to be afraid
Of people whose eyes are oddly made,
And people whose skin is a diff'rent shade,
You've got to be carefully taught.

You've got to be taught before it's too late,
Before you are six or seven or eight,
To hate all the people your relatives hate,
You've got to be carefully taught!

No, I will not take "hate" casually. I've been too close to the effects it can have.

Back to the subject of the thread again.

In my opinion, the drop is too low and the wheels are too red. Does that window sticker say, "LOOK AT ME"?

My overall score for your car: ZERO.

Edit: I really like that jingle, Sportstick. And yes, I agree, words matter. A lot.

I was going to go off about how pop culture has made sheep of us but I think you said it better than I could, "If that has become casual to others, the problem lies therein."

You have no idea how much that rings true to me on a wide spectrum of issues.

The point was to the contrary to explain that hate is not natural and could be wiped out if we were smart enough to end it. It's an anti-hate lesson. The lyrics are from a song in the Broadway show and classic movie "South Pacific". Watch the movie to listen to it in full context.

Good old South Pacific!

Some constructive advice for the OP. From a "looks" point of view to each his own. We are all different & diversity should be respected.

Be careful stretching tyres ~ it can be dangerous as they are being asked to operate outside their design parameters. (before someone tells me that Japanese drifters do this ~ if you've ever been to Japan & watched a meet ~ They also blow a lot of tyres.)

The attitude of these cars requires to be tail up for the aerodynamics to work. If you want stability at high speed don't drop the tail too low. Pic in our new forum header of the white car is about correct.

Since someone mentioned that car, what is with the double windscreen support on that car? Is there another white car behind it or has it been photoshopped and someone forgot to erase some extra bits?? Draws my eye and frustrates me whenever I look at it trying to figure out what's up with it.

^ typically cars have a support on either side of the front windshield. When added up, together, this makes Two (2) windshield supports. this would explain the phenomenon that you are experiencing

It must be just something about this particular thread that attracts hate/sarcasm?????

It's fine. I was just able to view it on my larger computer screen rather than my iPad and it is another white car behind complete with an extra side mirror. Obviously just looks weird on my iPad.

By Locking spanner do you mean a vice-grip type wrench?

REAR SPRING & SHOCK

And you removed top & bottom spring seats? Part #6 & #7.

And what springs did you start with, SS's, or airbags?

.

im lowered on d2 coilovers there is an adjusting spanner which the spring sits on and a locking spanner to hold the adjuster spanner in place. i took the locking spanner out and a rubber grommet that sat between the spring and the adjusting spanner

Those are very stiff, highly adjustable Racing Coilovers, probably the best way to slam a ride.

I had some experience with similar Buddy Club coilovers, trying to fix mistakes made by BC in a custom batch of CO's for another car. Changing the spanner at the bottom is the normal way to set ride height. Messing with the upper spanner nuts only changes the preload, and does not directly change ride height. You may have the option of stiffer, shorter springs to drop ride height. Need to contact D2 tech on that.

It would help if you added some profile info:

______________ *** All Members, New and some Old *** _______________

please click on User CP at the top left of page, just below the thread title. Then add the following to either Profile and/or Signature , selecting buttons on the left side of that page:

year, model, if it's a diesel, Sport or Lux, 4MATIC or RWD, Mods, Location (city & state), and non-US country if applicable.

This helps others respond to issues, like tires, spring options, part sales, etc. Thanx
