Do you mean a charger (for dead batteries) or a battery maintainer to keep the charge up for periods of inactivity? Big difference.

Any auto parts store. I paid about 30 bucks for mine which I keep connected to my Porsche for months at a time.

Various members on this site recommend a Ctec Battery Charger as it has a charging range of .8 amp to 4 amps.

Why not buy one battery charger to do both jobs ?. http://smartercharger.com/

Thanks guys for the suggestions, anybody knows if the battery on C-class is a regular lead-acid type or a AGM type?

Smile Battery Charger C Class

Just ordered CTEK charger CTEK MXS 3.8 for my 2010 Mercedes-Benz C-class (W204) C200 CDI. Reason this Charger has a max charging voltage of 14.7V and on page 290 of my owners manual it states you should only use a battery charger with a maximum charging voltage of 14.8V. Hope this is correct for a three year old battery in reasonable condition which I intend to keep for some time.

I have always used a Battery Tender brand charger. Works well and never had any issues with it.

Best Battery Charger

CTEK MXS 5.0 Test & Charge
1 only this most recent model includes separate Testing Function by connecting to battery without AC power Test for battery voltage / battery strength under load (engine running) & Alternator charging battery correctly
2 plug in & then 8 stage battery charging - including pulse charging for battery maintenance as requested but as well a recon stage (programmable step if required) for failing batteries and recommends to do annually
3 get the comfort extension for each battery you have with the eye hole attachments which you permanently attach to each battery - this includes traffic light indicator showing when to charge (at all times) then you easily just plug in your MX unit to the extension when you need to recharge
4 get the rubber bumper for protection but not essential

Go for quality rather than cheap solution and solve all battery issues in the long term as well as great solution to maintaining a battery which is not used much
