Exhaust note

Hey guys. Got the x-pipe mod done to the car when I first got it. I love the way the car sound a bit more aggressive. My question is how can I make it a bit louder without drone but keeping the same stock/raspy sound i.e. keeping 1st or 2nd gear at high RPMs. I tried searching but can't really find anything. Thanks

Nothing you can really do except remove the stock muffler and put in something aftermarket that will be a bit louder. RemOving the mufflers altogether will surely drone like mad. A secondary cat delete may help but can cause low end torque loss so I'd steer clear of that option. Honestly, any louder than just doing the x-pipe will surely make it sound like a Japanese import. IMO just keep it how it is and enjoy the sporty exhaust note when you get on the throttle.

2nd cat delete is a straight thru piece it wont cause low end loss, not after adaptive ecu takes over and adapts to it.

Ok guys. So I finally got it done. A lot of shops won't do it because they all think they were cats. I made one of the shops call MB with the part number and was told they were resonators. Thanks for all the help. So here is the link to a short video I made. http://youtu.be/kMz6qmTy3xI
