Steering wheel vibrates on 2012 c220

Hello.

I have an Mercedes W204 with some problems.
Even with original 17" wheels the steering wheel vibrates after 70 km/h.
Now I got 20" wheels with same problem but feels a bit more due to lower profile. Mercedes dealer has tried to solve the problem 3 times without any success. I have heard that vibration on steering wheel is a common problem in w204. Is that true?

I searched other thread but mostly its about balancing wheels... But this time it's something else.
Anyone knows?
:-(

What's your wheels offset. Mine is ET43 front and rear. 235-30-20 and 255-30-20 tyres

Sounds like an alignment issue. Maybe a bent suspension part. If all the wheels are balanced it could even be a cupped tire issue. Even if your alignment is perfect you could have worn both the 17 and 20" tires with the same result. Just throwing some options out there.

I'm running the OEM AMG Style IV 17" 6 Spokes Front-47 Rear-58.
Considering your issue is with both 17" and 20" wheels- I would lean towards a possible bent control arm, but I am far from a mechanic.

Well I am still thankful for any kind of Problem it might be, even if you are not mechanic :-)

I would change the front wheels to the back to see whether the steering wheel vibration stops.

If you have only done 600 km the dealer should be sorting it out. If he is incapable, go to another dealer or contact the MB national rep for the country in which you live.

Good luck..

Either ur wheels have not been balanced or somehow your car is getting rid of the wheel weights placed during balancing, worth checking them out.

Went to a famous tyre shop here to balance the wheels again, checked the brakes and if the wheels were bended.. Still the same problem... Mercedes doesn't answer emails or phone calls so personal visit seems like only option now... :-(
