Is this a bogus C-Class?
Hello, fellow petrol heads!
Please excuse my ignorance in advance as I'm a motorcyclist.
Somebody I know (not name-dropping) bought a (not certified pre-owned) 2008 C350 Sedan in white. It has 265/30/19 rear and 235/30/19 front, carbon fiber front wing, and AMG badge on right side of rear deck. Is this a modded C350 sport or a real AMG?
Thanks in advance. Sorry no pics but I assure you it looks good and not cobbled together.

W203 slightly modified
In some countries such as Australia the cars can be factory labelled AMG because it was built with bodykit, suspension and rims from AMG. I know it's silly but that did happen.

As long as she bought a C350 (sounds like a nice one) and knew she was buying a C350 then it's fine.
The AMG badging, on non amg vehicles, even made it's way on to some e classes in the US. Don't ever recall seeing a C with AMG badging from the dealer though,

I've also seen non AMG vehicles badged with AMG for sale in Mercedes dealerships. Maybe there is a certain criteria that is met and the factory applies the badge?
