We have 2012 C350 purchased in July and an Iphone 5 purchased this November and do not appear to have any issues. It paired up easily and we haven't noticed any delay.

Ok just paired a completely different iphone 5 to a different car, a 2012 ML280 with command and it does exactly the same as my C Class.

Wait about 8 seconds or until a mute symbol appears on the screen and then disappears before the caller or you can here each other speak?

So it's not a dodgy phone either?

Same issue with 2012 ML350. Started when updated to iOS 6.0.1. 6.0 did not have this delay as I enjoyed one month with the new iPhone5 without annoying my callers with "can you hear me". Would be great if 6.0.2 would fix and we don't get into fingers pointing each way.

I had the problen with my iphone5 and WOW was it irritating. I just recently changed my phone to a samsung galaxy note2 and as far as answering with MB bluetooth, no problems at all. Syncs perfect.

Just updated iphone 5 to 6.0.2 and bug still exists. Bugger...

Had to replace my iPhone 5 with another iPhone 5 and it has the same problem. Not a problem specific to the actual phone, but rather something inherent in the iPhone 5 itself, or at least the iPhone 5 in combination with iOS 6.01 and later.

I have this problem too! Previously had the iP4s and never experienced the issue with that phone. I've tried deleting the phone, giving it a different name, and re-pairing - but no resolution yet!

I have a '12 C350 and recently had a Comand update and the problem is still apparent. MBUSA told me there is a software & lightening bolt cable being released in the first quarter of this year..... Finger crossed!

Does anyone else think that it's foolish that the text message is shown on COMAND but can't be fully read when the car is in motion? What's the point of that?

I updated to iOS 6.1 on my iPhone 5 yesterday and the first call I received today while driving seems to have worked normally, without the problem. That is the only call I've received, but positive results so far.

I can verify carter3d's observation. Just updated my iPhone 5 to iOS 6.1 and it seemed to work fine when I got a call last night. No delay on pickup, no muted outgoing voice, no more wondering when my wife is able to hear me.

Same here. After 6.1 update no problems with the mute being on when answering a call

I do notice the same thing in my 2012 C200. It is like whenever I press the answer button, I have to wait about 2 seconds before I can speak, otherwise the first few words get cut-off. My phone is iphone 5.

iPhone 5 issue. I also have the adapter from Apple-works well for charging and media interface. My big issue since the switch is my CALL NAME command only displays numbers in my FAVOURITES. My phone book does not populate?? Anyone else have this?

My new iPhone 5se with iOS 10.0.2 and '12 W212 is suffering from the same unintended mute for 3-5sec when I answer incoming calls. I've deleted and re-paired with no joy.

Do you think that my map upgrade at roughly the same time is coincidental or related? In other words, would a map upgrade eat Command updates or cause it to fall behind? Seems like a stretch...

My iPhone 5 SE is now running iOS 10.1.1 and still no joy. I'm still getting an annoying 3-5sec of a muted mic upon answering incoming calls. Grrrrrrr....
