Just wondering, on the 5speed automatic in my vehicle (2008 c220CDI) is there a certain milage at which the gearbox should have an oil & filter change?
Can't seem to find anything in my service manual for it.

should be done 40,000 to 50,000 miles

I have a 2007/2008 220 CDI Auto. My MB dealers mechanic says that I should do an oil & filter change every 50,000 to 60,000 kilometers , NOT MILES. Please see attachment.

He also says that a full flush is not necessary unless the fluid is discoloured badly. Just a drain & filter change. Best to drain overnight to obtain max amount of fluid drained.

Make sure you use the MB recommended auto trans fluid.

Yep ~ every 39K miles!

I just had my transmission oil changed at the dealer for $350 while I was there for A service. They found out that there were a little bit of transmission leak because I complain about feeling the gears shifts when accelerating and slowing down. They said because of the leaks and low on the transmission fluid, that cause it. I am no mechanics here, but I had the first trans. done at 34K miles at a different dealer and now at 68K. I hope this would stop the shift feeling.

Wonder what you guys takes on the gears shifting issue and transmission fluid change? or did I just got robbed by the dealer?
