2012 C250 Question
Hello
I just purchased the Burger Motorsports piggy back tune and intake. I am also doing the AMGEN rear diffuser and dual exhaust. Does anyone know if I remove the cat, resonator and muffler will I throw any codes? I plan on just doing 2 1/2" + straight pipes all the way back. I heard C250 without the mufflers and resonator and it sounded great. I wanted to get rid of the cat as well as I heard the turbo will perform much better??

You will more than likely throw a code if you remove the cat, unless you get a dummy O2 sensor. In my personal opinion, you need to have some kind of muffler/resonator in the exhaust or you run the risk of having a car that is too loud. So, if you take out the muffler and resonator, then leave the cat. If you take out the cat, then leave either the muffler or resonator. The exhaust housing of the turbo will absorb a good deal of the noise from the exhaust, but you probably will still want to have a second line of defense in there somewhere.

I have a sport cat with downpipe , no errors.
The downpipe removes the small little resonator on the front.
I'm happy with the cat... The car drives smoother.

Haha, I know what a downpipe is, I meant what kind is it and where did you get it.
Also, the downpipe is the L-shaped pipe that is bolted to the exhaust housing of the turbo, or the O2 housing.

Where is the resonator actually located? I just want to remove the resonator and straight pipe it, I want to go into an exhaust shop knowing at least a little something haha.

Bondo, it's from SKG performance in the UK.
MRC, from the front to the back:
Headers, Cat, resonator (or sec car), big mid silencer, rear silencer.
