Thumbs up Do you need your 2012 upgraded tail lights programmed to your 2008 or 2009 C-Class?

Do you need your 2012 upgraded tail lights programmed to your 2008 or 2009 C-Class?

I recently upgraded my taillights, but could not find any dealership, independent shop, or person to program them to operate properly. I got tired of searching everywhere and driving around with my rear fog on, brake lights dimmed, and worst of all the annoying error message that popped up every time I turned my car on. I researched what all is needed to program these lights and how to program the lights, bought all the equipment and now I have taillights that operate properly. Since I know there are more people out there that want to upgrade taillights, I am now offering my services to you...

BEFORE:

AFTER:

If you live close to the DFW area you can just come on by and I'll program your lights. If you're to far to drive to me you will have to remove your Rear SAM module and send it to me. NOTE: If you remove your SAM, your car will not operate until the SAM is reinstalled. I have already programmed a few members from this forum, so if you have any doubt they can confirm my work.

Programming one Rear SAM will be $150
Programming for five or more Rear SAM's will be $100 per SAM

Thanks,
Ryan

I think most on here get them from parts.com, they run around $400 for both I think. I bought mine off of eBay from the seller eliteautolights for $300. You might PM "got_thang?", I recently programmed his lights, but he is from Houston so maybe he knows someone local.

just got my SAM back from ranorris2 and everything works perfectly. definitely contact him if you need to reprogram your SAM. did everything that he promised in the time that he said he would.

(led bars are red in real life...i'm not sure why the iphone camera is making them show up as orangeish)

buying the lights from parts.com will come out to just about $400+shipping. i was able to easily sell my old tail lights on this forum for $200+shipping so you can easily make half of your money back if you do that as well.

I met with ranorris2 earlier this month. He happend to be in the LA area, and he was kind enough to meet up with me. For those of you guys in doubt of sending him your SAM, let this testimony be a sign of assurance for you! He was able to program my SAM unit in less then 10 minutes. Super courteous and professional! Check out the results below!

Thanks ranorris2! Can't thank you enough!

You are correct, programming the lights does take 5-10 minutes, you could have seen that from the post above yours. I was talking about getting the software and installing it on your computer.

There are also virtual machines ready for deployment that you can use to make it easier vrs installing software on a laptop, you can just use VMware workstation

Where do I get these taillights anyways? I can't find any on ebay, nor parts.com... Am I supposed to search for the 2011 C300 for these taillights, because 2012 shows no C class... I thought 2011 were the same as the 2008~2010 taillights?

You have to search by part number...

204 820 41 64 / Left Side
204 820 28 64 / Right Side

08 C-Class (sold)
Just got my SAM back from ranorris2 and no more errors for me!!! But my 08 c class had the sam replaced with a 2010+ sam. So I bought a 2008 sam and used it and it worked!!! So maybe that will work for other 2010+ c classes.

Is it like an on/off sort of adjustment, or adding/removing code?
