Quick update: The dash rattling nose is NOT coming from the airflow changer. Opened the grille up again, lubed it up and drove with it in both positions and still get the sound.

How did you remove that mesh grile? Just pry it out? My sound is definetly coming from the grile. Of i press on it the sound goes away.
