Hey guys, just bought a 2008 C350 with 34,000 miles. The car is absolutely mint. Anyways, it has the lighting package, panoramic sunroof, multimedia, leather seats and the 17inch AMG wheels. I was at the dealer and forgot to see if it has auto-dimming mirrors and the compass. Can someone confirm if the car would have this, being that is has all those other packages.

Also, the car has the ipod interface but it doesnt have the "media interface" option in the Audio section of Command. My W212 E class has that option in the audio drop down but this car doesnt. Is the ipod interface different in 2008's?

It should have auto dimming mirrors. Compass is in your navi. The ipod interface can be accessed via the "aux" option.

Ok cool, thanks. Im used to the compass being in the mirror like my W212. So I guess you cant scroll through playlists, artists etc. like on the E class? I assume its just like a regular Aux jack

I believe you can only control it through the main cluster display but not the MM unit itself. I usually use an SD card or Sirius so my memory is a bit foggy.

My c300 has the compass in the rear view its part of the P1 package

What year is your C300? I don't have a compass in my rear view.

The P1 pkg has auto dimming mirrors driver side n rear view memory seats (09- up only) sirius maybe something else I cant think of

In 2008 there was no lighting package. Since the car has Bi-Xenon headlights, LED rear turns and folding rear seats among other things, it has the P2 Package. I have my 2008 window sticker and could post the costs for P2 and Multimedia if needed. P2 includes P1 items plus others and was well worth the extra cost.

Yeah the car does have heated/autodimming drivers mirror and rear view mirror. The compass is unfortunatley in the center screen in the gauge cluster
