2012 C250 CPO Pricing question.. why so high??

Hey All!

I promise this is my last thread on this kind of topic (ready to buy this week!!) So I have been between a c300/c250/f30 328i. I was about to jump the gun on a c300 but it sold so contemplating the c250 as the new f30 328i are wayy overpriced. Just looking at truecar, a majority of people have been playing 35k on a 40k msrp (37k invoice) for a 2012 c250. What can I expect to pay for a cpo 2012 c250 with 15k miles and with the options to get it to 40k (premium package/amg wheels). Dealers in my area are all asking 33k for cars with similar criteria, which seems high considering depreciation after 1 yr is about 11k (going off yahoo's true cost to own). What are your guys' thoughts?

Cheers

2012 C250
About a month ago I purchased a 2012 C250 CPO with 15K miles from Buckhead Mercedes in Atlanta. They had several and all were priced at $30,999. Mine had Premium 1, Nav, Keyless Go, etc and stickered for right around $41K. Check autotrader.com and sort from low to high on price and start shopping from there. You should be able to get one for around $30K.

Awesome thanks for the imput! I am just wondering if I should just pony up a few extra thousand for a brand new car vs a used. I'll be talking with the dealer more tomorrow and will let you guys know.

If the difference is 10% then absolutely buy new.

Don't forget that asking price for a CPO car is not what they are willing to sell it for. a 2 min look around here and I found a CPO C300 4MATIC <10k mi P1, Multimedia listed for $32,864. Which I'll bet you could get for about 31,500 or so (maybe even less) - lists around 45k

You should be paying anywhere from 28-30k for a 2012 with 15k miles

key less go, premium 1 and nav.

I paid in that range a month or so ago.

I'm With Vertex on this one. I just purchased a 2013 Black C250 With Premium 1 package and 18" AMG's (I think Moonroof and sport tail is std now on 2013) Stickered just under 41K and they sold it to me at EXACTLY $32K before Tax and License in the Bay area California Car Was Brand new with 8 miles.

So I think 28-30K is right for the used with nav and 15K miles (Mine has no Nav) I don't like the idea of having an outdated computer screen in my car in a few years. I use turn by turn from Iphone 5 works great just a thought

Thanks for the input! I am going to go to the dealer tomorrow hopefully and get things rolling. Hopefully I can get it at 28k, which is my target price but we shall see.

Cheers and happy holidays!

So... I just got the car! Palladium silver with 11k miles amg wheels premium package. Getting used to an auto and downgrade in power but it gets the job done! I'll be sure to upload photos soon. Looking to just upgrade it mildly with maybe mid match bulbs, tint and single exit exhaust to keep the oem look (not sure if anyone has gone this route yet)

SkeeterV. Congrats. Good choice. Maybe the route I should have gone. I was looking for a 2011 BMW 328 with less than 15k miles when I went and took a look again at the c250. Which in my opinion is a better looking (both exterior and definitely Interior) than the 328. The dealer knew from speaking with my girlfriend I was in my way and ready to buy the. Used bimmer. I told him the price on the bummer and he said if we get use in a new c250 is there any reason I would want a used bimmer. I said how close. We went back and forth. They were closing bi said I appreciate all the effort. But. It's not close enough.(I had thrown the 32k out there). Just before I left to go home he said let me just see if any more room (last offer was at 34,600ish). He came back and said "you said you would buy it today at 32k. I said yep. And he said "you just bought a car" I was a liitle shocked and thinking what's the catch. No catch!!! They even had already qualified me for financing.. My credit isn't great. And they took care if it nonissue (I put 13k down). In fact b of a. Just sent me a letter that they bought the loan and instead of 4.99. They lowered to 4.39. Yeah. The experience was unlike any I have had. Even when I bought my 328 back in 2005. Oh. It was Pleasanton BMW. I wrote them a letter. Every aspect of the sale was respectable and sales rep was polite and followed up on everything. Regarding the price... My salesperson told me up front they had some pretty unbelievable incentives going on at the time. I will post a couple of pics soon. Versus the 2011 BMW... No brainer. Just as fast And still faster than a 2013 BMW 328 20-50 passing. Faster breaking. And better road holding too. Look at motortrend and car and driver from earlier this year. Bin not going to pretend it is faster off the line cause it is not! But it is a much less expensive car and still quick agile and a looker...

Wow, that is a good deal. You made me cry in SoCal
I purchased a White on Black C250W last month for 40k OTD. Dunno exactly what the package but it has Keyless go, 18" AMG wheels, Adaptive Headlights and no Nav. Sticker price is over 39k. Thought I had a good deal. I paid extra $650 for the interior/exterior teflon coating, though.
Salesman: How much are you willing to spend?
Me: Not more than 40k.
Salesman: Congratulations, here is your new car 40k OTD.
Me: ok...
