Disc unreadable error with new Nero

Hello everyone, I recently upgraded my computer and haven't been able to create any working DVDs with mp3's on my COMAND system. Each DVD gives the error message "Disc unreadable". I never had any issues with my old system, I haven't changed my media (Verbatim DVD+R), and I've tried many different ways to burn the discs, but nothing seems to work.

The new computer came pre-loaded with Windows 8 and Nero 12. After trying what I've always used in the past "Nero Express -> Burn data DVD", dumping my mp3's (none of which come from the iTunes store), and clicking burn, I tried to use the Nero Burning ROM utility and trying to change the UDF settings to 1.02 as suggested on a generic post I found on another site. To be sure that wasn't the issue, I actually tried to burn the same copy using every single UDF setting available (1.02, 1.50, 2.00, 2.01, 2.50, 2.60) and I continue to get the same problem.

I also tried switching slots in the DVD changer in case that was an issue and same trouble. I can't recall what my previous version of Nero was, but I still do have the computer and can plug it in to check if that's necessary.

I thought this would be simple as I never had issues before, but this is really frustrating! Any help would be greatly appreciated - thanks!

Maybe worth adding, but these discs play fine in my PS3. I also turn off the ability to add songs to the disc later, which I know creates issues for non-Windows devices.

I've wrote a few threads on this same issue. I didn't find a solution, but a few suggestions were to go to dealer and have them "update" your system. Which I couldn't do be size I was no longer under warranty. Check the system for the G shock (I think it was called. Something with shock. I guess from bumps in the road shaking the system) idk I'm clueless. And lastly to get the lens replaced.

I actually just replaced my entire head unit to a different one as none of the above suggestions worked out for me. If your search "disc unreadable" u can find the correct wording and suggestions I was referring to. Good Luck.

Thanks Dark, but (thankfully) the problem really appears to be with the new version of Nero. I have mp3 DVDs in the rest of the changer slots and they all work fine. A few days after I posted this, I used the Windows 8 DVD feature instead of Nero and it worked just fine, which leads me to believe that it's just a setting somewhere in Nero that's causing my issues.

To update this thread, I also have this issue with Nero 12. I burnt a CD for the car and I got the disc unreadable error. I thought, crap my player is broken. I popped in my old cds and they all worked fine. Found this thread and sure enough Nero is the issue.
I went ahead and downloaded ImgBurn (free program) and remade the cd and it works just fine in the car.

I have a similar problem, not with Nero, but with Astroburn Lite (that comes with Daemon Tools imaging).

It's a bit disappointing to see that while it plays properly for the first 10 minutes, the DVD goes unreadable after. I probably will change to a new program I guess (ImgBurn/Windows?), but a solution for the settings would be helpful as well.
