Unhappy Battery issue?

Hi,
Just got a problem with the car. C250 CGI 2010 model.
It seems like the battery is keep on going flat?
I use the car probably 2 to 3 times a week.
I normally lock the car when in garage and sometimes not.
Most of the time its locked.
But it seems like the battery is keep on going flat and today I cant start the car.
Its now done this 3 times last 4 month.
Does the battery go flat this quickly if not driven?

Can any one confirm this?
What ever happened to people driving the car as a weekend car?

My C used to be weekend car for nearly two years. I had one time of failing to start in first couple of months. After that, it started fine. Not sure how low its voltage can go but still startable. 11.6V can start the engine no problem.

I have a trickle charger to charge the battery whenever I wated to. However, I think my C is OK to be a weekend car. Every other weekend? Not sure.

G 'Day Joe,

I can start my car after one months inactivity.ie after a holiday.

I think that you could have :-

1. A weak battery . It can be load tested at your local auto electrician or battery specialist. He could also check your alternator output.

OR

2.A slow electrical discharge (leak ) from your electrical system when your car is not being used.An auto electrician can also quiet easily test for this . Finding the' leak' may take a little longer as he will have to go through an elimination process. This video may help :-

If you have to buy another battery make sure it is a Glass Mat type of the correct amp/hours capacity. They are available in Sydney at Ryde Batteries Wholesale Phone 1300133980 . Two Brands Federal or Varta .My diesel takes 70 a/h but yours may need 100 a/h.

Good luck & let us know how you go.

Thanks for that guys..
I called up the MB dealer and they are also quite confused why this is happening.
I have the Car for service booked up on 31st of Jan and they said will check what has been happening with the car.
Once I get an update.. will post.

Thanks for the replies guys.
