I think a 2013 C250 Sedan is in my future. Input and help? (So Cal)

Greetings all and hello from Santa Monica, CA!

This is my first post here, so to start I want to thank all of you awesome people for this great site that shares knowledge and love of these cars. I've learned so much over the past month just reading about all of your builds and feedback on different features and so on.

For the last several years I've been driving a C-Class ('09 C300, '12 C250 Coupe) and I am about to lease a new 2013 C250 Sport Sedan.

So really, the title of this post could have been A 2013 C250 Sedan is in my immediate future!

Now, I've found the build I want, mostly. (I say mostly because it is my second choice in exterior color, but has all the options and packages).

Here is the build:

Iridium Silver
Black Leather
Aluminum Trim
18" AMG 5-Spoke
Full Leather Package
Premium 1
Multimedia
Lighting Package
Dynamic Handling Package (w/ Adv. Agility)
Panorama Roof
Keyless-Go
MSRP: $49,175

I would prefer Polar White but the closest I found in Polar White was without the Leather and Dynamic Handling Package (& Adv. Agility).

So.....

Anyone else go through a similar dilemma between options and color choice? What did you end up deciding on? Did you regret your decision later?

And...

I'm having very little luck finding a dealer in the area who isn't just trying to push me off the lot with one of their current stock.

If anyone in Southern California could recommend a dealer or dealership or just their 'guy' for lease deals, please post or send a PM.

I'm majorly looking forward to posting pics of this sweet build once I get it, hopefully, by end of next week!

Thanks!

The best offer I have so far is a 27-month lease at $421/mo incl. tax (not incl. maint.) with $2k down (tax, title, license, reg, 1st mo), @ 10k miles per year.

I don't know much about leases, but I assume the lease duration is also an important piece of information?

Ok, so here is the offer I think I am going to sign for:

27 months @ 7,500 miles per year
$2,000 down drive off incl. 1st month
$400.00/mo

This is for the MSRP $49175

What do you guys think?

Unfortunately, it seems like the "Dynamic Handling Package" is only avaiable in Canada as an option for the C350-sport, and is not available in the US since ~2010. It had a button to change how firm the suspension was, sportier shifts, etc ... much more stuff than the very nice basic Agility Control suspension.

Hi kevink2

Dynamic Handling Package is a Special Order Only option and isn't shown on mbusa or even in the C-Class brochure. And while a couple of the dealers I've spoken with have claimed it was not an available option there are, in fact, around a dozen 2013 C250 Sedans with this option currently in the United States.

The option code is 315 and it is also sometimes referred to as the Advanced Agility Package.

Hope this is informative!

Here is the direct copy-paste from the MSRP on this car:

315 315 Advanced Agility Package: Parameter $1,530
213 : Speed-Sensitive Steering
428 : Steering Wheel Shift Paddles
483 : Advanced Agility Package (Special Order)
786 : 18-Inch AMG Twin 5-Spoke Alloy Wheel

Also, for those interested, I've locked in this car on a 27 mo lease for $400/mo w/ 7500 mi per year, $2k down drive off incl. 1st mo. and all tax/title/license/fees/etc...,

The boat arrives on Saturday and they've put a rush order on it so I may have it as early as Monday or Tuesday.

Great to be corrected on this. But even the copy-paste has it listed twice as 315 and 483 ! Why keep this great option hard to find ??

For those who like a push button change to a much sportier driving experience, order this option, but it also provides 18" wheels, which could be negociated out for the more forgiving 17" wheels:

But if you’d prefer something a little more exhilarating, simply push the button to 'Sport' Mode and everything changes, literally:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

With the continuously variable damping, handling becomes more taut, body roll is reduced and the ride becomes firmer. Steering and throttle response becomes sharper and gear changes more responsive (automatic transmission only). Even ESP® (Electronic Stability Program) intervention is marginally reduced to help enhance the dynamic driving sensation – without compromising active safety, of course.

Right? It was a pain more than once when talking with a dealer and trying to find a car with this package; only to have one say "well, all i see is an advanced agility package and nothing about any dynamic handling."

I purchased mine up in norcal (MB of Walnut Creek), but been going to Fletcher for my services (Jim Buote is my guy). When I browsed the lot, sales guys have been great to deal with and the dealership really is up there in terms of facility and class.

Ahh, gotcha! You actually raise another excellent question:

Any highly recommended service centers closer to Santa Monica? Newport Beach is a bit far to drive for service from where I live.

The car is coming in through Keyes, but could be swapped for another dealer at the dock/VPC. So I actually have a little room wherein I could potentially make a better deal with another dealer/dealership. This is sort of my intention over the weekend; just to see what else is out there as I think I could probably get a bit better of a deal than what I'm currently being offered. Any thoughts?

The boat docked this morning shortly after 6:40AM PST.

I'm considering taking a trip up the coast after it arrives. Might be fun to run into some of the NorCal folks!

Also, does anyone have any suggestions of things to get with the delivery of the car, or done immediately after receiving it? Like protective sealants for the paint and interior fabric and leather?

One of the dealers I spoke with mentioned a protective paint thing that MB does but didn't have the name of it.
